A manufacturer of medical implants approached Demsey Manufacturing Co., Inc with a high-volume, titanium, deep drawn stamping project. The item was being used as a packaging for a medical implant product and was being machined from bar stock, which was extremely costly. Due to the high material cost, the customer wanted the part drawn so as to reduce the amount of waste being generated in the process of producing it. Because of their knowledge of working with difficult to form materials, such as titanium, Demsey was able to duplicate the part at a fraction of the cost. In addition, the high speed production solution assured the customer would not run in to stock out situations that they had previously encountered.
