Demsey Manufacturing Company Incorporated was founded in 1954 by Anthony and Helen Demsey as a custom deep drawn metal stamper utilizing eyelet transfer presses. The orginal location was in Waterbury, Connecticut in a rented space on the third floor above an ice cream factory. In 1969, Demsey's present modern climate controlled facility was built. The plant, which has grown over the years, to its current 35,000 square feet is located at 78 New Wood Road, Watertown, Connecticut and is situated on a two acre site.

Demsey is a family owned and run business, now in its third generation and is growing rapidly under the management of Richard, Scott and Kim Demsey. In 1988, American Tube Fabricating Corporation was purchased to enhance the company's versatility by allowing smaller quantities of various tubular products to be made more economically. In more recent times, Demsey has further diversified by acquiring larger power and transfer presses that can draw up to 65 thousandths thick material to almost 5 inches in length.
