  1. CUP OPERATION... converts the flat blank to tubular form that resembles a cup.
  2. FIRST DRAW... reduces the diameter of the cup.
  3. SECOND DRAW... further reduces the diameter of the cup and lengthens the part.
  4. FINAL DRAW... brings the part to the desired outside and inside dimensions.
  5. PIERCE... the bottom of the tubular component is punched out and the slug is extracted.
  6. CLIP... the uneven edge is removed and the finished part is ejected.
